Elimination of paper source documentation enhances quality, reduces monitoring, and shortens time to database lock. The EDC system has a bidirectional interface with the clinical safety laboratory, enabling upload of test results directly into the clinical database, is Part 11 CFR compliant, fully validated, has CDISC ODM certification, and allows for remote access to study data in real-time with reporting capabilities.
